OUR GOALS

Showcase Atlanta, co-chaired by Mayor Andre Dickens,

will implement a consistent framework to maximize the

economic, social and reputational potential

of every large-scale event in the region.

This initiative is designed to complement, not compete with,

the successful efforts of local organizations and leaders.

SHOWCASE ATLANTA aims to amplify & focus

through the unique INFLUENCE of Showcase Ambassadors and the Mayor’s Office,

harnessing the energy, excitement,

and opportunities

these important moments bring to Metro Atlanta.

Showcase Ambassadors: For each major event, recruit the region’s most influential and passionate leaders as Showcase Atlanta Ambassadors. Leverage their deep expertise and connections to drive community engagement and ensure the success of each event.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with all partner organizations to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for each event, aimed at maximizing economic benefits for the region and its diverse business community. Focus on enhancing the experience for residents, both during events and through long-term benefits. Publish this strategic plan to encourage broad participation and transparency.

Corporate and Small Business Engagement: Establish a clear process and dedicated portal for businesses to directly engage with large-scale events. Implement policies that encourage event organizers to source services and products from local businesses, fostering meaningful partnerships between events and the community.

Community and Neighborhood Engagement: Integrate community involvement from the strategic planning phase through every step of implementation. Prioritize opportunities for nonprofit collaboration, and maintain open communication channels for residents and local business owners, ensuring that every neighborhood can participate and benefit from each event.

Reporting: After each major event, publish a comprehensive impact report detailing the strategic plan’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlighting the community, business, and economic outcomes. This ensures transparency and celebrates the positive impact of each event on Atlanta.
